The Nobleton Sanitary Sewer Project

Beginning in the fall of 2010, Nobleton property owners began hooking up to a sanitary sewer system that will eliminate environmental issues and accommodate predicted population growth.
The project has been frustrating the community due to lack of action, projected costs, and the idea of paying for a service they don't feel they need. In 2010 collection costs per lot were estimated to be $18,790, a large number that doesn't include the connection costs or the plumbing upgrades to basements the residents are being forced to pay for.
Residents have been attempting to convince the council that cost of the sewers are to much for the community, but the council keeps pushing the project forward. The project has thus caused families that cannot afford to pay for the costs of the sewer project to relocate to other townships and cities. Houses up for sale are harder to sell when buyers hear of the additional costs attached to the township.
Something that is supposed to help preserve our slice of heaven is only destroying it further.
